Tomorrow is Dad's 4th anniversary and the 2nd of April was a very significant date for Dad...
On April 2nd 1994 or '95 (I am not too sure, which is strange, usually I'm spot on with dates etc) Dad nearly died in Toowoomba Base with epiglotitis. He was put on life support for a week and it wasn't a great time for him. The ensuing months saw him learn to walk properly again and also he had to overcome the awful golden staph bug he had contracted in hospital...
So it's significant, for some unknown reason, that Dad did eventually pass away on the 2nd of April 2005.
He is deeply missed

ReplyDeleteand what a wonderful man he was, he touched all those who he met. I will never forget his love for you and Bub and those cows. Never look at another cow without thinking of SPOT, and everytime I here Kingaroy I think "Oh Mr Obee land".
